Maintenance Supervisor

Full-Time, Permanent


A position has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join the hotel on a full time, permanent basis. Supervising a small team of Maintenance Assistants, the Maintenance Supervisor ensures that the hotel is maintained to the highest standards through planned and reactive maintenance. Candidates will be well versed in all health and safety and other legal requirements and will have a commitment to ensuring the safety of others and providing the best experience for guests.

  • To supervise and support maintenance assistants
  • To cost any work and source relevant materials required to complete the job
  • To maintain all plant, fixtures and fittings across the resort and general maintenance skills
  • To ensure maintenance is preventative and reactive on the site systems
  • To ensure that effective and preventative maintenance schedules are followed
  • To assist with the energy conservation program allowing the hotel to meet its annual targets
  • To communicate maintenance information and problems to the Resort Manager daily
  • To maintain all fire fighting equipment in first-class order
  • To ensure as part of the Maintenance team you attend internal and external training on an ongoing basis complying with Health and Safety training requirements in all areas
  • To ensure effective communication and good relations between the Maintenance and other departments in the hotel
  • To keep the management informed of any major defects in the building, plant or equipment which could affect the successful running of the hotel
  • To operate within an efficient system for responding to defects, liaising regularly with departments regarding pending and outstanding maintenance repairs
  • To ensure that all public areas are patrolled daily and all lighting is in good order
  • To maintain a clean and tidy and organised work area
  • To adhere to the correct uniform/appearance policy and maintain personal hygiene at all times
  • To undertake any other duties requested by management
  • To comply with all legal requirements in respect of health, safety and welfare of staff and customers
  • All staff of the company are required to make themselves available for training and communication meetings, for which advance notice will normally be given
  • All staff must attend fire training as required by law, and to be familiar with the departmental responsibilities
